The volume of the following records is only a sampling of petitions considered by the commissioners. Nonetheless, the applications for pension and reports of investigations are a valuable record on the plight of widowed, separated and divorced women in the World War I and post World War eras. Bills Disallowed, 1872 – 1893
Sampling of bills not allowed by the county commissioners. These records are being maintained to document to some extent public activities undertaken by public and private individuals and to sample letterheads of past businesses and professionals. Included are two liquor licenses from 1881 and 1882. It is not always clear why these bills were tabled by the commissioners.
Bounty on Wild Animals, 1894 – 1903
Register of bounties paid by the county. Entries give date, name, number and kind of animals killed, amount of bounty and warrant number. Later, from October 1905 to March 1906, the volume was used as a receiving book.
