Scope and Contents
These files contain some letters of resignation but mainly letters of application for county positions or county projects. While many of the applicants merely asked for the board's consideration on their appointment, others gave information about their experience or, during the depression years, personal reasons for applying. Requests to be an official depository provide information on the financial stability and resources of county banks. Petitions to the board for the appointment of an official may be included in the files.
