Scope and Content From the Collection: This collection consists of two areas of historical interest to Bishop - the Civil War and the Pony Express Route. Of the former, Bishop collected the military records of Thomas M. Littleton, a Civil War veteran and a lieutenant in the Wyoming National Guard. The other, more extensive collection pertains to the Pony Express Centennial, documenting the exact location of the pony express stations across that state and creating a map of the same.
