Scope and Content
This collection consists of building plans drawn by Morris Kemper or architects from his firm Kemper and Associates/Kemper and Pappas. They include 483 sets of plans for commercial, government and residential buildings. See Map Case database for more detailed inventory
This collection also contains the firm’s building planning files, which may include job information, contracts, questions, photos, specifications, and folded plans. There are two series, one is alphabetical and the other numerical

Biographical / Historical
Morris Dean Kemper was born Aug. 31, 1923, and grew up in Tarkio, Mo. He attended college at the University of Nebraska, Warton American Technical School in Warton, England, and then graduated from the University of Wyoming with an engineering degree. He served in Europe during World War II as a combat engineer. Mr. Kemper was an architect for over 50 years, designing numerous buildings in Cheyenne which include the Herschler Building, Cheyenne Civic Center, LCCC and several buildings at F.E. Warren AFB, along with the home that his family lived in. He won many awards for his designs. He died April 2, 2012 in Cheyenne, Wyoming
