12 Department Correspondence, 1923-1952
Scope and Contents

The bulk of the correspondence (1919-1923) concerns the early State Historian's efforts to procure and compile data on the history of Wyoming and on the activities of the people of Wyoming related to World War I. This early correspondence also helps document the development of the office of State Historian from its inception and its role in preserving the state's historical record.
