Historical Context

Dedication program for the "Americana Carillon" musical instrument installed at the bank in celebration of their 29th anniversary. According to the program, "it consists of 75 miniature bell units of bronze metal, which are struck by metal hammers, producing exact true bell tones almost inaudible to the human ear. These bell vibrations are then amplified over one million times by means of specially designed electronic equipment, producing true bell music... The "Americana Carillon" will be played from a special keyboard located in our lobby." The instrument could also be automated.
