From the Collection:

The collection consists mainly of family correspondence and financial records from his stores and ranches. Of particular interest are an 1857 diary of Carter’s journey to Fort Bridger, financial dealings with soldiers, records of his daughter, Virginia Bridger Hahn, and correspondence and various records about family members
