Series II. Miner's Delight Justice of the Peace, combined civil and criminal docket, 1869-1883
Scope and Contents
Docket provides summaries of criminal and civil cases presented before H.G. Nickerson (1869-1880) and George M. McKay (1881-1883). Information includes names of plaintiff and defendant, charge or nature of complaint, summary of proceedings, plea, disposition, fine and court costs. The early entries, when Nickerson was a US Commissioner, are federal cases in Miner's Delight and the Shoshoni Indian Reservation and naturalization proceedings in Miner's Delight and Atlantic City.
