05.03.01 Cash Books, Apr. 1869 - Sep. 1899
Entries on cash received by City Treasurer for fees, fines, and taxes.
Volume 1 records the sale of town lots in Cheyenne in 1867, listing block and lot numbers, name of purchaser, value of lot, amount paid and date of payment. The volume is also a register of fees, fines, licenses and warrants.
05.03.02 Journals, 1876 – 1885
Record of receipts and disbursements of funds similar to ledgers. Entries chronicle periodic deposits of cash received from fees, rentals, taxes, and interest, and expenditures and warrants issued for salaries, services, and office supplies.
05.03.03 Ledgers, 1878
Bookkeeping on credits and debits of City's finances. Accounting lists show warrants, expenses, goods, services, persons, and departments providing and receiving public moneys.
Volumes 6 and 7 are monthly reports of receipts and disbursements and show assets in bank accounts and city funds, collected from fees, taxes, fines and other sources of revenue and balanced by expenses of government.
05.03.05 Warrants (stubs), July 1869 - Dec. 1869
Arrangement: Numerical by warrant number.
Receipt of warrants paid by City Treasurer. Provides amount and date of warrant, fund drawn upon, and in most cases, person and services being paid. Warrant numbers can be matched against warrant registers for verification and information, except in the 1868 - 1869 volumes, where warrant numbers were not written. Excess checks in volume 2 are examples of territorial checks used by the City.
05.03.06 Warrant Registers, 1871 – 1876
Arrangement: Numerical by warrant number.
Record of funds dispensed by City Treasurer for salaries, services, and goods. Tables list warrant number, claimant, amount of warrant, and, except for the 1868 – 1869 volume, the fund from which the money was drawn.
05.05.01 Tax Lists and Assessment Rolls, 1874
Arrangement: Alphabetical within volumes.
Property valuations for tax purposes (1872 - 1908) and street and sewer construction (1916 - 1960). Tables list names, description of residence, lot and block numbers, total value of real estate property, type and value of personal property, and based on valuations, the amount of tax within various categories.

Arrangement: Numerical by certificate number.
Deeds issued to purchasers of property sold for payment of delinquent taxes. Certificates provide description of property, owners, and taxes due, date sold, purchasers and sometimes date redeemed.
169 - 219, 1908 - 1919
Arrangement: Numerical by certificate number.
Deeds issued to persons who redeemed their property previously sold for payment of delinquent taxes. Certificates provide description of property, owner, and amount paid, date of redemption, and holder of certificate of purchase. There is no cross reference to the certificate of purchase.
