The 1889 record consists of field notes for the Pioneer Canal. For circa 1930 - circa 1950, notes on surveys of roads, bridges, property, water levels, structures, reference points, computations, and sometimes the name of the surveyor and surveying crews. Also included are black and white negatives and photographs of county projects, people, and activities which may relate to a specific survey.

Report of expenses and time in surveying ditches, canals, reservoirs in the second water district. Tables list name of ditch owner, time, rate per day, cost of certificate, and total cost.
