Biographical Note

An Austrian immigrant, Frank Canary was a private in the 148th Field Artillery Brigade during World War I. He fought in Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel and Meuse Argonne. In 1919 he was discharged and returned to his home in Newcastle.
