Biographical Note
Thomas F. Collison was born in 1906 in Illinois. Thomas' older brother, Haldon A. Collison (1893-1935), was a well known pilot during the early 20th century. He served 4 years in the Navy prior to World War I, enlisted as an Army Air Corps pilot during the war, and worked an air mail pilot for the last 14 years of his death. He was known for his clean safety record and near super human ability to fly his plane and land safely under extreme circumstance,... which earned him his nickname "No Collision Collison". Collison died October 7, 1935, when his plane crashed west of Cheyenne, killing 12.
