Historical Note
A monument was placed at the site, which marked the common boundary of the Louisiana Purchase, the Republic of Mexico, and Northwest (Oregon) Territory until 1848, when the region became part of the United States. The location is in Sweetwater County and the event was sponsored by area Kiwanis Clubs.
