Historical Note
According to its articles of incorporation, the purpose of the Cheyenne Club was "to establish and maintain a pleasure resort and place of amusement." These entertainments, outside of socializing, included dining, reading, and gaming, without betting. Rooms were also available for overnight stays. Club rules required a strict code of conduct.
