Biographical Note
Effie Sawyer Snow was born Febuary 22, 1862, in New Hampshire. In 1882, she traveled to Cheyenne, Wyoming, to marry George W. Snow. The Sawyer and Snow familied were neighbors and Effie and George corresponded frequently between 1877 and 1882, while he was establishing his livestock enterprise in Cheyenne.
The Snow's operated the Bear Creek Stage Station on the Cheyenne Deadwood Stage Line.
