Historical Note

In 1905, an unnamed solo female traveler from Buffalo, New York, toured Yellowstone National Park. She traveled by train from Denver to the North entrance of the park. When she arrived, she spent five days traveling through the park by stage and describes the ride, landmarks, and other travelers. She then writes of her adventures traveling by train from the park back to Buffalo by way of Chicago. In 1915, she returned to visit Yellowstone a second time. This trip is described in much less detail than the previous visit.
