Biographical / Historical
Morris Sutton was born in 1906 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. After graduating from high school in 1926, he married Dorothy Lindsey in Denver, Colorado and the couple settled on a homestead in Lincoln County for three years. He went to work for Lincoln County in January 1933, was appointed director of public welfare in 1938, and became superintendent of CCC camp G-78 in Kemmerer, Wyoming. He retired from federal service in 1966 in Stockton, California. Sutton died in 1992 and is buried in Stockton, California.
