Historical Note

Wyott Manufacturing Co. Inc., located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, manufactured restaurant and food service equipment, including coffee urns and hot dog roller grills. During World War II, Wyott received a War Department contract to produce valves for the US Navy. According to the awarad booklet, Wyott was the first to manufacture a sanitary cream dispenser passed by public health officers throughout the US, first to manufacture an easily disassembled coffee urn faucet, the first small plat to obtain a war contract in Wyoming, and the first war pant in Wyoming to receive the Army Navy "E" award.

The Army-Navy "E" Award recognized excellence and outstanding achievement in civilian factory production for War Department contracts between 1942 and 1945.
