Historical Note
Cheyenne's first Methodist sermon was preached on September 20, 1867, and a Methodist Society was organized the same day. The congregation built a frame church in 1870. The present red sandstone church replaced it in 1894. 1942 marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the congregation. Donor Mabel Peck was a member of the Historical Committee.
