The Wyoming State Auditor is the chief accountant and payroll officer; promoting the State of Wyoming's financial accountability and assisting agencies to account for public money responsibly and promoting transparency in the State's finances. Archived records include financial records such as ledgers, journals, statements; as well as administrative files, general correspondence, equalization, insurance, expense and fund examination records.

Abstract

Wyoming State Auditor records as maintained by the Wyoming State Archives consist of financial, tax, payroll, and expendure records for the State of Wyoming. Administrative files, general correspondence, Insurance Commissioner, Board of Equalization, Board of Condemnation, Yellowstone National Park Justice of the Peace, and uniform accounting files are also included in the records.

Arrangement of the Collection

The collection is divided into five series including: Administrative Records, Insurance Commissioner Records, Accounting and Budget Records, Bank Records, and Bonds.
