Washakie County District Court hears felony criminal cases, civil cases including divorce proceedings, and probate cases including settlements of estates, guardianships, involuntary hospitalizations and adoptions.

Unless noted, indexes to case files have been retained by the court. Please contact the Clerk of Court for docket numbers before requesting case files.

Historical Note

Washakie County was created from a portion of Big Horn county in 1911 and organized in 1913. The Washakie County District Court has been located in the county courthouse in Worland since its construction in 1937.
