Scope and Content
The collection focuses mainly on the acquisition and development of oil and gas leases in Wyoming from the late 1920s to the mid-1960s. Files contain correspondence, maps, leases and other legal records. There is also a substantial amount of correspondence about family life. Other topics include real estate development in Cheyenne and Robert J. Connaghan, Jr.’s involvement in the B-26 Marauder Historical Society

Robert C. Connaghan (1881-1968) and his son, Robert J. Connaghan (1923-2013), were oil and gas developers in Cheyenne. During his life, the father acquired mineral leases across the state. The family businesses included Oil & Gas Royalty Company, Associated Royalty Company, and Petroleum Products Company
