Biographical / Historical
The policy of the Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts is to provide leadership for the conservation and use of Wyoming’s soil and water resources and all other natural resources, to preserve and enhance wildlife habitat, to protect the tax base, and to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Wyoming through a responsible conservation ethic
Conservation Districts are subdivisions of state government with responsibility under state law to provide for the conservation, development, and wise use of Wyoming’s basic natural resources – soil, water, and those related resources that are dependent upon soil and water. The Districts are organized by local landowners under state law, and are administered by Supervisors elected by constituents
