The bulk of the collection consists of invoices for purchases, doctor bills, and utility bills for John Chaplin and family dating from 1886 to 1942. A few of the later records pertain to the Ralph and Charlotte Smith family, such as a World War II “Basic Mileage Ration” coupon book and a folder of miscellaneous items
