Guide to the Iowa Flats/Chugwater Area History Collection
Scope and Content
This collection includes a photocopy of the 1910 publication “A Pioneer Life of the Twentieth Century” by Robert Kletzing, a resident of Iowa Flats near Chugwater. This is a promotional publication with numerous advertisements, and information about prominent Wyoming citizens, agriculture, local residents, and schools. Also included are a list of people who used Chugwater as their post office address, and recipes
The collection also includes information about the Iowa Flats Cemetery and Iowa Flats Methodist Episcopal Church compiled by Mary Cotton Anders. Most of the photocopied records relate to burials. Copies of land records, a booklet about the church, and a copy of the certificate of incorporation for the Chugwater Cemetery Association are also included. The church booklet lists area homesteaders
