Biographical / Historical

The Wyoming Centennial Community Foundation existed to enhance the communities of Wyoming through philanthropy. It attracted gifts from a broad base of donors, and established charitable assets which were managed and distributed in accordance with the donor’s wishes in areas such as arts and culture, civic projects, conservation and natural resources, education, and health and human services

Founded in 1988 and based in Laramie, Wyoming, the non-profit organization has seen several name changes during its existence. Initially called the Wyoming Centennial Trust, subsequent changes included Wyoming Centennial Foundation, and The Wyoming Centennial Community Foundation; its current title is The Wyoming Community Foundation

Still active, the organization continues to enhance the quality of life for Wyoming residents. Through a permanent endowment, it addresses the changing needs of communities and provides donors and their diverse philanthropic interests with vehicles to make giving easy, personally engaging, and effective
