Biographical / Historical
The Wyoming Association of School Business Officials [WASBO] is an organization of school districts and education professionals responsible for the financial and operational facets of public schools in Wyoming. Members oversee all areas of finance, accounting, human resources, risk management, transportation, school nutrition, maintenance and operations, technology, purchasing, school safety and school facilities
WASBO is a member of the Wyoming Education Coalition which is comprised of four groups representing all facets of education. The Coalition speaks to the Legislature to promote positive, proactive change on educational issues. Members of the coalition also include the Wyoming Association for School Administrators, Wyoming Education Association, and the Wyoming School Boards Association
WASBO was founded in 1960 and known then as RMASBO [Rocky Mountain Association of School Business Officials], a regional organization which included Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. In 1988 WASBO was formed as a State organization, and is an affiliate of the International Association of School Business Officials International
