Scope and Content
Trefren family history: Copy of narrative written by Berniece Trefren Farris beginning with the dates of birth of her parents, Charles and Myrtle Thorne Trefren, and continuing with the family’s farming efforts in Laramie County. The narrative describes family life and various events. Copies of photographs of family members and locations are included. The narrative closes with brief information about the Trefren children and their families
American Gold Star Mothers: Records of Cheyenne chapter of organization of women who had lost sons in war. Their primary goal was medical aid for disabled veterans. They also supported memorial observances and met socially. One scrapbook includes a list of 1946 members, minutes of meetings through January 1947, newspaper clippings, and photographs. The second volume includes organization bulletins and correspondence, June 1946 – March 1948, and statements for national dues owed by the chapter for the years 1948 and 1949
