Information about General Land Office survey contracts for Wyoming compiled by Herbert W. Stoughton, Geodetic Engineer. Information from each contract includes the number of the contract, date, name of deputy, and the area surveyed. The contracts are listed in numerical/chronological order and are indexed by the name of the deputy surveyor.
According to the compiler’s notes the information was extracted from annual reports of the Surveyor General of Wyoming to the Commissioner of the General Land Office, from a General Land Office ledger, and from copies obtained from the National Archives
