Biographical / Historical
John R. Carson was born in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming on June 14, 1915. He joined the Wyoming National Guard in December 1936. After service in the Army in World War II, he re-enlisted in the Guard in 1946. Carson was the State Maintenance Officer for 20 years. In 1967 he was appointed Adjutant General of Wyoming and he served in that capacity until he retired in 1975. John R. Carson died June 28, 2001
