Scope and Content
Collection of records from the estate of Kathryn Beckwith Mertsheimer Sisson. She requested that after she died that the Beckwith records in her possession be donated to the State of Wyoming. The files contain correspondence, articles legal records and other miscellaneous records about Beckwith family members.

Biographical / Historical
Kathryn Sisson was born in 1881 in Omaha, Nebraska and died in 1973 in Springfield, Missouri. She was the daughter of Dora Beckwith Mertsheimer (1859-1937), who was the daughter of A.C. Beckwith of Evanston, Wyoming. Kathryn married M.E. Sisson, assistant to the general manager of the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad.
