Guide to the E.T. Payton Collection
Scope and Content
E.T. Payton (1856-1933) was a very successful Wyoming newspaper solicitor and publisher. He struggled with mental illness and published two booklets detailing his experiences and his perspective of them. Payton died at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston where, according to his obituary, “he had been a patient for many years.”
