Scope and Content

The collection consists of Jane R. Kendall’s research on the history of Francis E. Warren Air Force Base and its predecessors. Information on the Indian wars is also included. The collection is made up of notes, references to sources, drafts, maps, and clippings. The collection also includes the typewritten manuscript for an article that was published in the Annals of Wyoming in 1946.

The original inventory, a copy of which is included with the collection, identifies folder contents.

Arrangement

Numerical by folder number. The collection was largely maintained in its original order. However, the file numbering system originally used was abandoned in favor of simple folder numbers. The copy of the inventory in the collection is annotated to show the conversion.
