Biographical Note
As a young woman, Helen Bonham McKay was chosen Miss Wyoming in 1920 and sat for the artists who designed the poster. Due to the popularity of the poster, she made appearances around the country, including New York City, promoting Cheyenne Frontier Days and Cheyenne for several years. Her success led to the eventual creation of the Miss Frontier program and continues to represent Cheyenne Frontier Days.
