The Eames family traveled to Utah by ox train and once the family reached Salt Lake City Mr. Eames left the Mormons and joined the ‘Morrisites’ a separatist Mormon religion began by John Morris. The Mormons attacked and drove the Morrisites out of Utah, including the Eames family. The family then lived for a number of years at Fort Bridger.
