Guide to the Lincoln County District Court Records
Scope and Content
Lincoln County District Court hears felony criminal cases, civil cases including divorce proceedings, and probate cases including settlements of estates, guardianships, involuntary hospitalizations and adoptions.
Unless noted, indexes to case files have been retained by the court. Please contact the Clerk of Court for docket numbers before requesting case files.

Access is restricted to guardianships, conservatorships, involuntary hospitalizations, adoptions, paternity preceedings (order and enforcement is open), and juvenile records. Contact the Lincoln County Clerk of District Court for access to these files.

Historical Note
Lincoln County was created in 1911 from a portion of Uinta Counties and organized in 1913. The county seat is Kemmerer.

Johnson County District Court records as maintained by the Wyoming State Archives consist of original volumes and files including civil, criminal, probate court records, as well as Coroner's inquests and naturalization records.
