This collection is the scrapbook of Ezra L. Emery, which contains clippings Wyoming newspapers, gathered by James LeCron- private secretary to Governor Joseph Carey; and tracing the origins of the Laramie County Good Roads Association, Transcontinental Highway (later called the Lincoln Highway), the Yellowstone Highway, and the highway system in Wyoming.

Historical Note

Ezra L. Emery, known as "Good Roads Emery", helped to develop and promote the routes of the Transcontinental Highway (later called the Lincoln Highway) and the Yellowstone Highways through Wyoming. Ezra Emery was the Laramie County Good Roads Association President, and a member of the Board of Directors.
