John A. Campbell Correspondence, 1864-1880

Scope and Contents
The series primarily consists of incoming correspondence, but some letters from Mr. Campbell are included. Letters are from family, friends, favor seekers, and business and political acquaintances. A letterpress book with faint copies of outgoing letters from the summer of 1878 is also in the collection. The book includes an 1882 letter from Mrs. Campbell concerning her husband's estate. A fourth folder contains undated items and portions of letters, but most of these seem to pertain to Mrs. Campbell.
