Ms. Wunderly's diaries include entries recorded when she resided in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Transcripts are filed with the diaries. The 1866 diary includes a few recordings made in 1867.

Though most of the entries deal with personal and family matters, the diaries also reveal something of what life was like in mid-19th century America, and provide a few glimpses of civilian reactions to Civil War events including the end of the Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln's assasination. The Wunderly diaries also contain notes on various activities and subjects including laundry, poetry, singing lessons, expenses, reading to injured soldiers, and things to do. Ms. Wunderly's personality is reflected in her manner of expression, observations, and opinions.

A few pieces of correspondence and notes were found in the pockets of the 1864 and 1866 diaries. These are listed below. The correspondence has been removed and filed with Ms. Wunderly's other correspondence.
