Scope and Contents

Correspondence concerning the son of A. D. Gambell, who disappeared in Laramie County and believed to be murdered. Included is a petition, signed by many prominent Coloradoans, for aid from acting Governor Morgan. The governor offered a reward for the arrest and delivery of the alleged murderers. Also included are a letter from Morgan to F. E. Warren requesting the loan of some furniture to the U.S. Land Office and a couple letters about Indian trouble in Johnson County.
