Wyoming Worth Knowing (undated) [Signed by Frank Emerson]
Scope and Content
This collection consists chiefly of scrapbooks with correspondence, newspaper articles, photographs, and other records about Paul and his relatives. Among the topics are pioneer life of the Snowden family, early Omaha, deaths of Martha and Julius Wellnitz, early medical career and social life of Paul, and social life of Grace Emerson. Many scrapbooks are about Grace Helen "Dedel" Emerson. Many of the letters between the two siblings reveal that they maintained a close, caring relationship. Grace (1884-1947) was Wyoming's first women deputy state auditor (1927-1934). She was also very active in women's clubs, particularly the Order of the Eastern Star in Wyoming. Her scrapbooks are a very good source about the activities and members within the Order of the Eastern Star.
Records from H72-32 are included in the collection.
