Scope and Contents
Requests for information about divorce decrees, naturalization papers, and particular cases. Correspondence from 1874 to 1900 consists of one file folder containing, among other things, an appointment by Governor Campbell for Joseph M. Carey to hold District Court, a letter for Governor Hoyt regarding the county's responsibility to protect the mails, a letter from Justice William Peck regarding the saloon traffic in the county, and a letter from the Board of Charities and Reform on the opening of the territorial prison in Laramie. Letterpress volumes are indexed.
