Information includes name, receipt number, warrant number, date, amount, and for receipts, a short description on the nature of the entry.

Vol. A1 was used originally as a personal journal of John Smith of Hopkinton, Kansas (1869-1870). In the front is an expense ledger and in the back is a diary and several poems.

Vol. A contains a register of recording fees and is indexed by name of applicant. The volume is labeled "Clerk's Ledger" and was probably first used by the County Clerk.
