Scope and Content

From the Collection:

This collection consists of records created and collected by L.C. Bishop in his capacity as a member and officer of the Wyoming Pioneer Association, and for his research on emigrant trails and old roads in Wyoming. Some personal correspondence and records are also included

The Pioneer Association files highlight the activities of the Association, fundraising for and construction of the Pioneer Museum, acquisition of museum items, and routine matters. A number of files deal with the organization of Oregon Trail treks. L.C. Bishop’s research on trails and historic sites is also referenced throughout the collection.
