Scope and Content
The collection includes a published copy of the Wyoming State Song, a.k.a the “Wyoming March Song,” with lyrics by Charles E. Winter and music by George E. Knapp. The copyright date is 1920, but a separate note indicates that Bailey School Supply of Casper secured rights to the song in May 1925. See also OH-2256
Also included are accession H2003-77, two 1939 letters from Charles E. Winter to music printers regarding the printing of the song, and H2003-125, a letter from Congressman Winter to Charles B. Stafford concerning the Colorado River Compact and Boulder Dam legislation, 1929
