Letter from C. H. Bridges, U.S. Adjutant General’s Office, apparently in response to a query. The letter deals with the appellation “Rough Riders,” Colonel Jay L. Torrey, and statistical information on the 2nd United States Volunteer Cavalry. The letter indicates that many officers of this organization, including Torrey, were appointed from Wyoming.
