05.05.05 Tax Sale Record and Tax Notice, October 1888 - May 1913
Scope and Contents
Record of property sold for payment of delinquent taxes. Entries list name, description of property, amount of tax, interest, penalty and advertising costs, total amount due, date of sale, and certificate of purchase number.
Complementing this volume are notices of tax sale for 1889, 1890, 1892, 1895, 1897 and 1913. These are hand written lists, which were later, published in the paper. They were also an in house guide for the Treasurer on the day of the tax sale. Information on the notices is the same as in the tax record with the addition of the buyer's name.

Access Restrictions
The collection is generally open for research, with the exception of the master security microfilm rolls. Access to the rolls must be authorized by the Cheyenne City Treasurer.
