A – B
Scope and Contents
Information cards filed by the police on individuals accused of a crime. The 3 X 5 cards note name of the accused, address, age, height, weight, place of birth, race, nationality, occupation, crime, date of crime, personal articles at the time of arrest, accused's signature, arresting officer's name, details of the crime and final resolution. Juvenile records are also included, though these are not as complete or detailed as the adult cards.
Much of the information falls in the 1930's and the war years and provides an important source on the social climate of the city during those years.
