04.01.04 Jail Register, 1879 - 1948
Scope and Contents
Record of arrests and prisoners in the City Jail. Information includes date, name, cause of arrest, date of trial, name of police justice, fine and/or days served, name of arresting officer, date of discharge and remarks on discharge.
In Volume 1 there are remarks after some names about an individual's occupation or race. Volume 5 is a listing of persons arrested and may note date, time served, name of arresting officer, prisoner number, and remarks on discharge.

Access Restrictions
Access to investigatory records is restricted. Access to the arrest cards is restricted, because they include juvenile records. Access to the security microfilm/master rolls must be authorized by the Cheyenne City Police Chief.
