Incoming correspondence (memos) from the Federal Security Agency/Social Security Agency concerning policies and procedures of the State Merit System. Announcements of merit examinations and job openings. Includes description of job, minimum qualifications and salary range. A guide by the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (Division of State Merit Systems) explaining the Merit System Testing Program. Rules and Regulations concerning the organization and procedures of the Merit System. Federal job descriptions and salaries which were used to evaluate State positions.
